TShellTreeView PC/Windows The TShellTreeView can be used as a standard treeview control in VCL. This is a standard component. It has many features which even the user control can not get. So, it is really useful. It will help you to explore the shell of Windows systems quickly, and it also is suitable for root node of the directory tree. With this component, you can browse the file system quickly and you will know the contents as well. TShellTreeView Features: Standard TreeView No need of special coding to write a rich directory browsing ui for your app. Display of all items of a given path Multiple nodes per path Display of items after a given position The tree view is searchable Drag and Drop Support (your task) Browsing the File System quickly Optimized drawing Display of both the file and virtual file system No visible borders between nodes Full Unicode support Create virtual folders Navigation by links Properties for root node Drop-down menu support Column resize support Drop-down menus support Icon images Multiple sort orders Data binding support Free sorting options Customizable columns View the help file Configurable columns Treenodes support Customize lines Internal sort function User-defined icons for nodes and lines Browsing Speed Test The tree view control will show the speed on every detail by testing. Custom Sort In each part, the tree view can be sorted by any column. The kind of custom sort that can be used can be set by using the Edit Custom Sort property. For example, if you have a custom sort function like VCL SortCompare(), you must supply that in this property. The amount of lines of custom sort that can be used and the compare function is limited, you may need to create it as a middle layer. Also, if you need more than one sort function, you can use them independently. In that case, the code is needed to be written after the sort function is called. SizeOfCustomSortingLineList The number of lines of custom sort that can be used and the compare function is limited, you may need to create it as a middle layer. Also, if you need more than one sort function, you can use them independently. In that case, the code is needed to be written after the sort function is called. If this value is large than 0, all sorts will be given. WithCustom TShellTreeView Free In Windows Explorer there is a navigation pane on the left side of the window. Clicking on any of the "Files" in that pane opens up a window listing the files/folders in that folder. TShellTreeView allows you to build up a similar tree structure right in your application. Each node (item) in the tree will have all the standard properties of a tree item (including icon, etc.) and will be directly compatible with Windows Explorer. The tree structure can be modified and rearranged at runtime and saved (backup) in a XML format. Features: Scrollable, drag-n-drop and keyboard navigation Root node expands automatically when viewing a folder TShellTreeNode and TShellTreeView properties can be edited at run-time Can create and read/write to/from XML files Re-arrange the tree structure at run-time Can detect file system changes and synchronize with a file system Inherits the OS shell window (in the background) Can be disabled from the properties panel Unit tests included Please download the latest version from here: This code does not have an official release yet. This is because the 32-bit version of Delphi doesn't support use of the 64-bit TShellTreeView. Perhaps you need to install the 32-bit version of Delphi. You may also need to install the 32-bit Windows system. The latest build of Delphi 64-bit is available for Windows 7, but you may not be able to install it if you are on Windows Vista or Windows XP. It is a 32-bit version built for 32-bit versions of Windows. If you are sure that you are running Windows 7 or later, then you can install the 64-bit version of Delphi. While they have been brought up to see themselves as victims, are constantly over-protected and demand special treatment to avoid being victims of terrorism. They have little awareness of the sacrifices made by those who defend their safety and privilege. While I worry about the moral attitudes of some of the young in response to the murderous attacks, I can better understand the victims’ rage that has been unleashed by a self-styled sense of moral superiority. In the schools, it is frightening that so many young children have been indoctrinated with the pernicious view that young male Muslims are oppressed by the ‘oppressive’ West, and that lone, religious nutters are oppressed by the ‘oppressive’ West. The young don’t see the risks. They don’t see that they will have their lives shattered and ruined. They see ‘Muslim extremists’ in a very simplistic way. They see the Muslim world of the Qur’an, and their a response in the West. They have not learned that the West is now an incredibly multicultural society, and that most of the terrorists have no idea that they are doing something so destructive and so totally alien to western values. Poor and middle class children from all over Europe and the USA, are taught that our attitudes are ‘inviting terrorism’.
